As we understand that all hotspots shares the frequency, model, firmware and the IP address that it uses for the connection.
For many this is acceptable.
So a question the creator of Pi-Star interface about Privacy?

All hotspots register the TX/RX frequency and location with the networks, be that DMR/D-Star/YSF/P25/NDXN - its part of the data that is exchanged between the two, keep in mind that if you operate in “private” node type - that will lock your hotspot to your callsign / ID(s) only so that nobody else can use it.
